Google Ads For My Business

At the top of Google searches
Since yesterday I had set up 5 Google Ads campaigns.
Ads promote my recruiting business.

At first sceptical, it proved effective. One client was able to find me on Google and we made a deal.
It was the owner of a restaurant who had found me this way. He searched for staff to hire.

But not everything was great.
After 2 weeks I had to remove the ads. Too many people clicked on the ads. These clicks were non-relevant and from people who were not interested in my offering. It wasted my ad spending.

I should have set up only one campaign, not five. In the next iteration I'll do that.

I am happy with search words I bought, but need to be more precise. Too many generic terms ( broad match ) is not good.

The beauty of these campaings is that you can tweek them as you wish and when you wish. Good thing is that you can set up ads without any outside help, it's that easy. You don't have to be marketing guru to do this.

The whole point of these search ads is to get leads - new clients. The cost is very reasonable.

Digital Nomad Zec

Well, I never dreamed of becoming digital nomad.

But it happens, I have become one. Today, working from coworking space and two cofffeeshops.

Reason: my office is without internet connection cause the line to the internet backbone broke down. Waiting for a national telecom to repair that shit.

Coworking place in a neighbouring town is cool. But I'm the only one there.

Blog thoughts

I love blogging. Used to write a lot.

Now, too busy. But one thought is lurking in the back of my brain that says - fuck, write blogs just like in the old days.

Well, sure.

Those small bits of information connected to discovery and connected thoughts. Write about it.

They will steal your thoughts anyway.

Promotions

I never wrote my blog posts for audience.

Most of my blog visitors came from Google - people searching for something that is related to my writing.

That was enough of thrill to me.

Never thought about marketing my writing. Writing was always my hobby.

Just like learning new stuff and researching unknown.

Content was important, audience was not.

So, I feel terrible reading other people’s advices about ‘’blog promotion’’ and stuff. Silly you !

They would say - but promotion is about bringing your writing in front of the right people !

Yeah, what about that ? I’m not a guy eager for endless conversations.

I used to be thought leader, whatever it meant. My writing influenced other people. I know that for sure cause they’ve told me. I didn’t made big deal out of it.

You can say it was a bit foolish.

Perhaps.

I’m humble and will stay so. But if I find out that you used my writing to make yourself look smart, I’ll call my lawyers.

No more stealing from me ! You gonna pay !

Watched: Mechanic: Resurrection ( 2016 ) - 7/10

Synopsis:

In this sequel, after faking his death, Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) has been living quietly in Rio de Janeiro as Mr. Santos. One day during lunch, he is approached by a mysterious woman (Yayaying Rhatha Phongam). She states that her employer wishes for Bishop to come out of retirement to kill three targets and stage them as accidents. The woman also brought a group of assassins with her. Bishop takes a picture of her on his phone as she reaches for a gun. He pushes the table against her as the other hitmen approach him. Bishop fights all of them before running onto a tram car. The woman chases him and almost gets him until he makes his escape by jumping on the back of a hang glider.

Bishop retreats to a location in Thailand to hideout with help of his friend Mae (Michelle Yeoh) investigates the woman and learns her employer is Riah Crain (Sam Hazeldine), a former childhood friend of Bishop's.

By the shore, Bishop sees a beautiful woman, Gina (Jessica Alba). Later at night, on the ocean, Bishop sees a boat and hears Gina sounding like she's being attacked. Bishop heads over to the boat and kills the attacker before bringing Gina back to the shore for safety. Bishop later watches a video of Gina teaching children in Cambodia. When she wakes up, Gina explains that a friend of hers was taken by Crain, and he threatened to harm the children if she didn't do what he wanted. Bishop keeps Gina close and takes her by a bar where Mae works. This brings the two of them closer as they bond, unaware that Crain's men are watching them.

Eventually, Crain's men corner Bishop and Gina on the beach. While Bishop fights the hitmen, Gina is taken.

Bishop is brought in to meet with Crain after a long absence. Crain has an axe to grind with Bishop after he felt that Bishop abandoned him when Crain needed him. Crain orders Bishop to kill the three targets, or else Gina will die. Bishop reluctantly agrees. The first target is a warlord named Krill (Femi Elufowoju Jr.), who is being kept locked up in a Malaysian prison.

Bishop travels to Malaysia and gets himself arrested in order to get in the same building as Krill. While on the inside, Bishop stops a man who was already planning on killing Krill. Later, Bishop meets with Krill inside his little hut by the prison yard. As Krill discusses his plan to rule Africa once he gets out of prison, Bishop sneaks up on him and chokes him with a wooden rod by pressing it against a bar on the window. He sets up the "accident" by having Krill sit at his table to appear as though he was in the middle of a prayer. The guards are alerted to the incident and witness Bishop on the security cameras. Bishop creates a bomb that blows a hole through the prison walls. He walks through and jumps into the ocean to escape.

Bishop is contacted by Crain through his tablet to speak with Gina. She tells him that he only has 36 hours to kill the next target or she will be eliminated. Crain tells Bishop that the next target is a man named Adrian Cook (Toby Eddington), who runs an underage trafficking ring.

Bishop finds Cook's apartment and carefully sets up his trap. Cook goes for a swim in his glass pool outside his apartment while Bishop is hooked to a wire as he scales the building. He uses a device to break the glass in the pool, causing the water to spill out with Cook plummeting to his death. Once again, Bishop makes a clean getaway.

Somehow, time has run out for Bishop, and he is forced to kill the last target immediately. The man is Max Adams (Tommy Lee Jones), a billionaire who owns a bunch of submarines. Adams finds Bishop waiting for him in his safe room, but instead of killing him, the two of them get along and decide to work together. Bishop has Adams fake his death by blowing up his equipment and telling Crain that the job is done. They arrange a meeting so Crain can give Gina back. However, Crain is planning to have Bishop killed.

Bishop waits for Crain's men as they get off land and head to kill him. He shoots them all dead before heading toward Crain's boat. He shoots, stabs, and blows up more hitmen before getting to Crain. He finds Gina, and they discover that Crain has the boat rigged to explode. Bishop puts her in a chamber to let her escape while he finishes Crain. The two of them go head-to-head and fight as time is running out. Crain pulls Bishop down with the anchor chain, but Bishop manages to pull it off and tie Crain down with the chains. Bishop runs away moments before the boat explodes, killing Crain. Gina resurfaces in the chamber and sees the wrecked boat. She is rescued and treated by paramedics, and she learns there were no survivors.

Gina returns to Cambodia to continue teaching. She writes a letter to Mae to let her know she is safe and doing what she loves. Gina is then surprised when Bishop shows up. They embrace.

The last scene shows Adams reviewing security footage. He sees that Bishop found a chamber to sneak into before the boat exploded. He got out once that piece of the boat was recovered. Adams laughs and deletes the evidence.

Running a successful Viber Public Chat

Best practice tips

Viber Public Chats are an opportunity to give your followers exclusive content and the latest news and updates on your brand. To set you up for success running your new Public Chat, we've compiled a list of best practices that should serve as inspiration for your team of Public Chat admins. The best Public Chats are the ones that are tailor-made to fit their audience needs and meet brand goals.

Content

As with content planning for any social channel, planning content for Public Chats takes time, effort and consideration.

Create an editorial plan and keep it in a calendar with key dates. Topical content and content that relates to real-life events is easier to promote and make for engaging topics for discussion
Develop broad and simple content themes (per day or week) to help with idea-generation and making sure there's always something to talk about
Prep content in advance to have more control over quality and to maintain flexibility in calendar changes
Curate content from the web. Links, especially YouTube video content, perform very well. Bonus: YouTube video links can be played within the app with the conversation in the Public Chat continues
Always credit content that isn't your own - either by including a link or mentioning the originator by name

Managing participants

Public Chats are most interesting when the conversation is lively and inspired. Your audience will only be compelled to follow along if the participants in the Public Chat are engaged.

Plan ahead for time spent encouraging participants to do their part. Don't underestimate the behind-the-scenes investment to keep participants engaged
Create a private group chat as a backstage setting to the Public Chat. In this "offline" forum, you can update participants on the day's/ week's topics and nudge them to take part in discussion
Use incentives, like prizes, linked to weekly stats as motivation for participants
Define who sends the final message in a conversation if you'd like to close it off neatly or want previous posts to be the first seen by new followers

Conversation flow

Keep the tempo natural. Intervals between messages should reflect regular chat conversation - impromptu discussions are the best for this, but content planned in advance shouldn't be sent so quickly that it feels copied and pasted from a spreadsheet
Avoid a feed of links, photos and other media. The feed should feel conversational, with links and media used every few text messages

Engagement

Post plenty of photos, videos and stickers. Visual content receives more 'likes' than textual content
Use bit.ly to track your links. 'Likes' do not always mean click-throughs
Create quizzes/ polls for followers, asking them to vote by liking
Encourage interaction from followersby asking for a minimum number of 'likes' on a post to lead to an action by you (e.g. "If I get 100 likes on this picture, I'll go skydiving and share the video here")
Post content you want the most engagement on as the last message in a conversation. Leave them there for a few hours or overnight for maximum engagement before moving on to the next topic

Interviews

Hosting guests as participants in your Public Chat is an excellent way to bring new and exciting content into the chat. Your audience can look forward to the added value of a relevant interviewee when following your Public Chat.

Set expectations with the interviewee (e.g. What the interview is about, language guidelines, how long it is expected to take place, things they can and can't share in the chat, etc)
Make sure the interviewee is comfortable with the platform and knows how to post pictures, use stickers, etc
Open a separate, private chat with the interviewee to coach them through the interview if necessary

When DEA agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined. Term Of The Day - Unified Communications

Unified Communications is...

Unified communications (UC) is a business and marketing concept describing the integration of enterprise communication services such as instant messaging (chat), presence information, voice (including IP telephony), mobility features (including extension mobility and single number reach), audio, web & video conferencing, fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), desktop sharing, data sharing (including web connected electronic interactive whiteboards), call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax). UC is not necessarily a single product, but a set of products that provides a consistent unified user interface and user experience across multiple devices and media types.[1]

In its broadest sense, the UC can encompass all forms of communications that are exchanged via a network to include other forms of communications such as Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and digital signage Communications as they become an integrated part of the network communications deployment and may be directed as one-to-one communications or broadcast communications from one to many.

Iceland on my mind

A lot of blank spaces. Writer fears white paper or white post editor.

Zec entered 2019 in a numb mode. He doesn't care. He's frustrated enough to not care. Let me be unclear, as always.

What to think about 2018 ? As a waste of time ? Not catastrophic, certanly not. But boring and routined.

One friendship with Miss M. It's all important I can count. Some girls, some striptease craziness.

Not a day officialy sick. Worked as shit. Got new CEO in October, old was sacked. Had a busy days till the end of 2018.

Some new collegues. Organisation reshaped.

I am 40 years old right now. 15 years in the same biz collective. Got sick of this shit. Need some change. Some fucking change !

Vacation were shitty and short. One party that went well, elementary school reunion in October.

Carlsberg got me in interview, but nothing came out of it.

Changed my doctor. It's a women, the doctor. Got rid of the old lousy doctor.

Saw some good movies, went to cinema in BJ with Miss M.

Had a car repair that cost me a lot. Was almost a month without car. Had to repair my car with a lot of stuff.

Quit smoking in May. Saved some money. Watched Instagram as crazy. Made a lot of Instagram stories and twitter posts. Played guitar.

Bought amplifier for acoustic guitar and microphone with stands.

In June 2018, we were vice-champions in the World Cup in Russia. A lot of stressful soccer games.

Iceland on my mind.
